I was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh but spent my early childhood in Europe due to my father’s higher studies in Belgium, where I completed my primary education. As a child I loved visiting many art galleries across Europe with my father who is also an artist. Currently I live in the UK with my wonderful wife and our two beautiful children.
I come from a family of 9 artists including my father. My paternal grand-uncle Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin was the founder of contemporary art in Bangladesh. As a child I loved playing with brushes & colors and I knew that I wanted to become an artist thus choosing to study Fine Arts. I have always found painting as an act of meditation after a day of diligent work.
I started my professional career as a web designer in late 90's and later worked in HSBC Bangladesh. I moved to Dubai to join HSBC Bank Middle East Limited in 2005 and lived there for 13 years. Eventually I came to settle in the UK; working in HSBC Global Asset Management as Website Content and SharePoint Manager.
